In the end, Big Brothers Big Sisters was chosen as the recipient.

The evening also included a presentation from Jennifer Shields on behalf of The Bridge, which received $8,600 in funding after being selected as the donation recipient during the group’s previous meeting.

Located in Kincardine, The Bridge offers an inviting space where community members can connect for companionship and a meal at no cost.

According to Shields’ presentation, The Bridge serves more than 900 meals each month.

The final meeting of the year for 100 People Who Share is being held on Oct. 30 at Ainsdale Golf Course.

Ahead of the October meeting, the group is accepting nominations for local charities in need of funding.

During each meeting, attendees pool their donations of $100 per person and donate the total to a single not-for-profit chosen by the donors. New members are always welcome.
