Familiar favourites returning to Kincardine’s fall fair

Kincardine’s fall fair returns to Connaught Park on Labour Day weekend.

Themed “Sunflowers and Sunsets,” the festivities kick off the night of Sept. 1 with opening ceremonies beginning at 7 p.m.

The evening includes the selection of this year’s fall fair ambassadors, as well as a pie auction and silent auction. 

Visitors can enter the Pavilion to view the various exhibits on display, which will have been judged earlier that day. 

Admission on Sept. 1 is by donation. 

On fair day, Sept. 2, gates open at 9 a.m.   

At 10 a.m., the beef invitational begins followed by beef and dairy cattle judging beginning at 1 p.m.

Kids activities run from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and include inflatables, a petting farm, and bubble zone. 

New additions this year are adult axe throwing and a gaming trailer, which run from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., as does the rock climbing wall, which makes a return this year. 

Bale rolling and throwing begin at 1:30 p.m.

Various entertainment is slated for the Pavilion throughout the afternoon, including musical performances by Steve Deer.

Admission to the fair on Sept. 2 is $5 per person with children aged five and under admitted free.
