I just dinged mine 10 last night, here were the best spots imo1. Orange/Red Jinni's if the Golden Spear encounter is down (Can also do the Harpy Cloak at the same time) 2. Orange/Yellow Harpies (Can also do the Winged Helm at the same time) 3. All Glimmers in Sheeroe Hills 4. My favorite way to level this was to attend ML5 raids. Most mobs in that dungeon gave magical xp. I think I got right around a level each time I did ML5 Feb 4 - Shorhan 1. Unseelie Faeries in Marfach Caverns. (Org, Red, Purple - awesome camp bonus and if you have 3 people they sometimes BAF so great exp) 2. Anything in Necropolis. (Red, Purple - Nice scrolls, Nice exp, Nice Camp Bonus. If you can get a full group in here, you can lvl your spear nicely. Also ML5 Raids are awesome. ML1 Required) 3. Pookas in Cursed Forest. (Orange, Red - Very good for soloing and there is a nice camp at the South end of the River) 4. Glimmers in Sheeroe Hills. (Green - Purple.....They BAF a lot and have a large aggro range, but if you can navigate this place and make it to warshades, then the exp will be rolling in. Also try to find some Dragon Raids) 5. Weewares in Coruscating Mines. (Yellow, Orange - This is my "last resort" camp. I would only recommend going here if you just can't find anything else. The only good thing about this camp is after fighting TOA mobs, these hit for nothing and have low hits) Mar 1 2004 so far i've found harpies, statues, egyptian looking guys in necropolis, and dust devils give magical creature xp in toa. Nov 21 - Mcdugen Stormcloud All the glimmers in Sheero give SoK XP Nov 21 - Syirius Light By the way it levels off of Magical creatures of all kinds. I leveled it basically off of Harpies and Warshades in the epic zone.(hib) The jannis that are up when the Golden Spear encounter is not. They will register as magical creatures (Spear of Kings) and they are also Jannis (Harpy Feather Cloak). Hope that helps. Those mobs are only up when the 3 named Djinns have recently been killed. Dec 24 - Littlevil Strategy:This encounter has been made a lot harder than it was, here are one explorers notes:Well we tried the Spear Of Kings today 3 times, a few things you should know magic will NOT work on him, it is fine to get the harpies out into the sunlight but he will resist everything, also He WILL and DOES cast on people outside the temple all the way back to the stares now, you can target him from outside but "Cant see your target" so the hunters can't use the bows from outside he will aggro on the healers fast, and it now resets a lot faster then the run swim from Aerus to the temple if no one is interacting with the mob <send your pet to keep it going, the pet dies but stops it from starting over> and last but not least even after a 2-3 hr fight that had started over 3 or 4 times we did kill it and the harpies. BUT Mythic in all of there WISDOM has made it a "NOT A GUARANTEED DROP" ! Jan 24 - ME Here's what we do in Hibernia: 5 People was last successful attempt(Probably can be done with 4): -Level 50 Shield Tank (My Champ, RR2L9- MoB III 42 + 10 shield; 50 Valor) -Level 50 Animist (Not sure what spec.. Mans the ram) <---- very important -Level 50 Druid (Blue con spec buffs... has 100% rez so pretty high Reg. I'm guessing) -Level 50 Bard (Decent Regrowth but still has End 5 and Power Song 4) -Level 40ish Druid (Decent heals) Start of fight, we ALL go in (using door nearest Aerus facing it; not sure what direction- it's not the doors facing straight towards the cliff).... I whoof at Olmagion... he runs to activate his little door contraption. Doors close... Animist sets up the ram. I obviously miss most of my blows.... and Olmagion whacks the heck out of me.. no sweat... druid heals and gains aggro. Guard on druid.. intercept when available... engage. I block most of Olmagion's hits, but sometimes, he successfully hits the druid. What the druid does is heal himself when I block for him to maintain aggro. Eventually, the animist successfully knocks the door down, we immediately run out and I keep fighting Olmagion, dragging him near the door. Animist begins spamming low level shrooms as I fight him. With enough up, they begin to hit him and I land all my debuffs on him (especially str/con so he takes more dmg from them).... Harpies do pop but don't aggro fast enough before Olmagion dies. Grab loot and run out the door. On the fourth attempt, we finally got it and it dropped as the pitted Spear of Kings... I simply ran out the temple and it transformed into the real Spear of Kings... noting how it was free from Olmagion's grasp. Harpies were still alive... one door knocked down from the inside... shrooms pretty much killed it.. still got credit. Jan 1 - Serenity_Arrow
