Target: Self Casting time: instant This spell is cast when the item is used. The arrows summoned by these gloves are not normal arrows. The gloves produce arrows with a +hit bonus. Mar 22 2004 - Khyth Mariasha's Sharkskin Gloves - The archery haste and archery range bonuses on the gloves were each reduced by 2%. The slash, crush, thrust, heat, cold, and energy resistance bonuses have been increased by 1% for each. (1.68 patch, Feb 19, 2004) Item that is created: 50 slash/crush/thrust arrows which are random in which dmg type you get... Keen Arrows of Accuracy (no weight) don't recall the other names They vanish upon logging out... They are exactly like the footed flight broadheads... except that they weigh alot less... Credits: Anzo, Swift Leveling this Artifact:I have been leveling these gloves for 3 days and after a total of about 4 hours I have them to level 2. I have a BuffBott and I’m using Braggarts Bow on Jagger Sharks near the Staff of Gods (SW corner or Meso). So far it’s best place to level them because the Sharks are Orange and Neutral and they drop loot. By the looks of it this item is only worth leveling to 8, especially for the time you have to put in leveling it! It took just over 2200 Thrust Arrows to make 1 level on gloves so keep that in mind! Mar 3- Rakob I've been hunting for xp a few places for this artifact when suddently i remembered.... Staff of the Gods encounter area is filled with an neverending amount of sharks oj to level 50. Feb 22 - Grisling NeedsAScope Strategy:Location: HesperosYou have to get the strongbox on the bottom of the ocean, then swim out of the shark area, probably on to the island. If you wait a while the box will unlock and you get the gloves. They are studded armor only, made more for "skilled archers" I am extremly disapointed, Inf's cannot activate, nor will casters i believe. It hurts. Dec 8 - Khaavren The spell, "Weight of Atlantis", now has a small damage component. This will cause players picking up the Heavy Strongbox to take damage and be brought into combat mode, losing benefits such as stealth and speedsong. (1.68 patch, Feb 19, 2004) I litterally completed this encounter in 30 seconds (if that). When you pick up the box a snare type spell is cast on you and you can barely move, that's when every shark in the sea attacks and kills you. A necro cannot pick up the box so the strategy I used was, I had a necro click the box to pick it up and when this was done, he tripped the snare on himself. I was then able to pick up the box and sprint with no spell cast on me. I did have a minstrel with SoS speed af on me and we swam to shore without a scratch. Very simple. Mar 13 2004 - Seprah I recently did this quest and found it to be easy for a Ranger regardless of the 1.68 patch and it's Weight of Atlantis snare. If you are a Ranger that took the time to have enough spec in Pathfinding to get a decent speed buff, this will be easy even now. Just use the above loc and dive straight down stealthed. Face the island and double click the box to pick it up. The snare should immediately hit you and as soon as it does, hit auto run and hit sprint and your speed buff. (Remember to surface) I made it to the island without a scratch and the sharks sucking my bubbles. When I arrived at the island, the box changed into the gloves in my inventory. Feb 23 - Mooshkabooble Spawn time of box: It varies greatly. Longest i've seen is 9 hours. Shortest is 3. Not to say it can't go longer. Dec 12 - Parrot Tips:I completed this with my scout and bot after the 1.68 patch. Just get an endurance potion, grab the box, and sprint up and toward the western island. Position your bot about halfway to your destination and have him heal you a little on your way out. Cleric spec AF and heal reactive no doubt helped, but I don’t see any reason why a hunter or ranger won’t be able to do the same without too much difficulty. Have fun killing those sharks! Mar 23 2004- Ayuko i tried 5 times to pick the chest up with my necro he couldent.....i got message he did.....but no chest in inventory....so i logged my infi....and at lvl 42 he could pick it up...and bring it to island with no fight... Dec 19 - Margana Depain i combine them to see that they gloves were made to help out in archery...just hurts my infiltrator heart. No clues on how tothe box, gonna go get a ram from someplace and see if that'llit, then maybe get somebody with battlemaster ml2 to try and do their move on it. Not much hope on it working but therse a sliver there. Then its back to the endless slaughter of those sharks.
