stat drain: Decreases the target's listed stat(s), and transfers them to the caster. Dex/Qui decrease: 40 Target: Targetted Range: 350 Duration: 1 min Casting time: instant Damage: Body Spell has a chance of casting when this weapon strikes an enemy. Create Item: When used, an item is created in the caster's inventory. Target: Self Casting time: instant This spell is cast when the item is used. While this artifact states “stat drain: Decreases the target's listed stat(s), and transfers them to the caster,” this is not the case if you have a dex/qui buff on. The stats are NOT transferred. The Croc’s Tooth does reduce the target’s dex/qui, but it will not “transfer” them to you if you have a dex/qui buff on. You will receive a message saying “You already have that effect. Wait until it expires. Spell failed.” (Note: I tested this with a shaman’s yellow and red dex/qui buff.) Hopefully this is a bug, and will be corrected, because it is not currently working as described on the artifact itself. May 24 2004 Crocodiles Tooth - The melee haste bonus was reduced by 3%, the Style damage bonus was reduced by 2% and the Melee damage bonus was reduced by 1%. The Strength and Dexterity bonuses were each increased by 6. (1.68 patch, Feb 19, 2004) The Shadow weapons summoned by the Crocodile's Tooth now have +8 Score Cap bonuses instead of +10 Score Cap bonuses in order to allow players to use the weapons at level 45. The axe version of Blade Shadow (Midgard) should now increase axe skill instead of sword. This has been done with 2 people: Minstrel(me) + Cleric Bot. Apr 9 2004 - Logan (The minstrel had a charmed crazed lion.) We killed Itet today with 7 people. Didn't use any special strategy, fought him on land. Group makeup was: 2 Pierce BMs 2 40+ regrowth Druids 1 Bard 1 Mana Eldritch 1 Mana Enchanter Definitely not the best setup but it worked. Everything was pretty straight forward, we melee'd Itet down til about 40% HP while casters kept killing the adds. Once he transforms, its when the PBAOE hits in. Itet PBAOE'd about 5 times during the encounter; make sure the supports are spread out and tanks move as far as they can when Itet's dagger slams into the ground. 11/11 - Sweat Most important thing is to fight him in water. On land, he probably spawned 25+ crocs when we killed him and started chain PBAE'ing under 50%. In the water, he spawned maybe 5 crocs and pbae'd once. 2G just zerged him the second time, was very easy.. First time we have 1g and it took a lot longer of course Jan 1 - Beckham Tips:Itet changes form as part of the script that produces the dagger. You killed him too quickly. Nov 23- Deyo I fought him tonight. We had less than optimal circumstances - all I knew (and I knew more than anyone) was that he spawned babies, PBed, and PBed less in the water. We also had 14 people... but 3 were <45, 3-4 were 45+, and the rest were 50. We had a bard for each group (1 a bot), a warden for each group, a druid, a PBer in 1 group, and the rest were various tanks. And from experience dying to him solo, he was much tougher than usual (a friend had hit him for 15 solo... hit him for 10 or so tonight). So here's a run-through: First time, we pulled him to the water, whacked away, didn't handle his minions very well, and only got him to about 65% before getting wiped. Second time, after losing our second warden and 2 tanks, we split into a tank/healer group and a smaller group (me with the lowbies) to take care of the minions. This time, we got him down to 50% (no PB at this point)... he transformed into the djinn form, and THEN he started PBing. We had been kicking his butt, but at this point we weren't prepared enough for the PB. We got him down to 40% or so before two consecutive PBs wiped most of us. Suggestions: First off, our makeup hurt us. You could do this with a well-organized FG with proper healing and such. Second, make sure healers stay out of PB range and have everyone else /stick the aggro holder (who runs) as soon as you see the PB message come up - I thought we were going to have longer to run, I guess. Third, the animist idea would make this really easy... unfortunately, we didn't have that option with this short prep time. Oh, and one more thing - he has another ability, where he "charges his armor" or something - basically, it's a mega damage shield that (as far as I could tell) hits you for 100-150 if you hit him right after he does it. In most cases, not earth-shaking, but something I haven't seen anyone else mention. 11/12 - Lanthalasa Drops:Crocodile Tooth Daggerarcanium Staff of the Whispering Wind May 17 2004 - Friarknight silksteel shadowbound gloves cloth, AF51, 99%quality ALL magic+3 +8% power pool +10 AF +2% cast damage vs. magical creatures +8 int cap 150pt ablative proc May 1 2004 - Hunshir Lyonesse duskwood Bow of the Whispering Wind stats page 1, stats page 2 Dec 16 - Rambures Montjoy The Bow of the Whispering Wind (Albion) will now drop with a slower attack speed.
